He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard J. "Bun" Ulman and Hilda M. Ulman (Reinking); and his siblings, Ralph Ulman, Margaret Wendall, Alice Jerome, Phyllis Evard and Marlene Weaver.
He is survived by: his wife Phylis Ulman of Decatur; his children, Dave Ulman (Sherry) of Decatur, Rhonda McIntosh (Jeff) of Decatur and Tim Ulman (Kelly) of Decatur; his grandchildren, Danielle Ulman, Katelyn Engstrom (Tyler), Kodee McIntosh, Nate Uman and John Ulman; and his great grandchildren, Max and Ella Engstrom.
Memorials may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation or the American Legion Adams Post 43 Color Guard.
