He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Sylvester and Lois Catherine Schaadt (Agler); and his sister Helen J. Poling. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Schaadt of Decatur, Indiana; his children, Natalie Clark (Michael) of Decatur, Indiana and Chad Schaadt (Wanita) of Decatur, Indiana; his brothers, Joe Schaadt (Shirley) of Wasola, Missouri and Dale Schaadt (Janet) of Van Wert, Ohio; his son Todd Burke of Bluffton, Indiana; his grandchildren, Laura Wilder (Travis), Taylor Crump (Cody), Jarred Clark, Logan Clark, Cody Schaadt, Mariah Antrim (Logan), Kane Schaefer (Erika) and Taylor Schaefer; and his great grandchildren, Chelsey Harris (Brandon), Harper Wilder, Zeke Wilder, Wyatt Crump, Huxley Schaadt, Jasper Antrim, Charlie Antrim, Oliver Antrim, Kallen Schaefer, Lilly and Scarlett Harris.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home- Decatur (520 N 2nd St, Decatur, IN 46733). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Preferred memorials are to Honor Flight Northeast Indiana or Union Chapel Church.
