She was predeceased by: her parents, George Smith and Audrey Smith (Applegate); her husband Clarence Stapleton; her son Tony Wayne Stapleton; her siblings, Betty Woods, Violet Moore, Donald, Carl and Paul Smith; and her great grandchild Evan Cantwell.
She is survived by: her pet Tony; her daughter Nancy Steiner (Ed) of Decatur, Indiana; her granddaughter Christine Cantwell (James) of Bloomington, Indiana; her great grandchild Raegan Clare; and her nephews, Rex and Don Moore.
