He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald L. Thornton and Sharon L. Thornton (Thompson). He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Thornton; his children, Brittany Hill (Branden) of Decatur, Gregory Thornton (Nicole) of Decatur and Cody Thornton of Decatur; and his grandchildren, Charles, Addison, Eliana, Cypress, Corine, Lyndon, Kalum and Cooper.

Memorials may be given to The Family, through the funeral home.
