He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Garwood and Eileen L. Garwood (Krick); and his siblings, Larry Krick, Gretchen Pasternak and Linda Chrisman.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia L. Garwood of Decatur; his children, Eric Waggoner (Kim) of Etna Green, IN, Dan Garwood (Melissa) of Clearwater, FL, Christina Alana of Decatur, Mandy Burelison (Ryan) of Decatur, Cassie Heimann (Marvin) of Decatur, Trisha Shifferly (John) of Decatur, Katie Thomas (Heath) of Decatur and Emily Helmuth of Decatur; and his siblings, John Garwood, Vanessa Jenkins (David), Janet Price, Paula Hess, Ruthie Tussing and Jane Ross (Larry). He is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
