She was predeceased by: her parents, Nevin Miller and Florence Miller (Tinkham); her husband Donald S. "Bud" Shaffer; her son Donald Wayne Shaffer; her grandson Justin Shaffer; and her brother Bob Miller.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeffrey A. Shaffer (Laura) of Decatur, Michael E. Shaffer (Michele) of Decatur, Steven W. Shaffer (Marnie) of Decatur, Brian S. Shaffer (Tracy) of Decatur and Ricky L. Shaffer (Lisa) of Ohio City, Ohio; her siblings, Carl Miller (Linda) of Decatur, Indiana and Patsy Shaffer (Harlan) of Decatur, Indiana; her sister-in-law Jane Miller of Florida; and her grandchildren, Mindy Uhlman (Eric), Jackquelyn Faulk (Lucas), Jennifer Chilcote (Zachary), Jessica Mane (Amit), Jillian Everett (Ron), Ashley DiCosimo (Dave), Samantha Shaffer, Sarah Shaffer, Corey Shaffer, Ricky Shaffer (Stacey), Kurtis Shaffer, Jakob Shaffer (Shana), Grayson Shaffer and Gracie Shaffer. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
