It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Maxine Ripley of Decatur, Indiana, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo H. Roe and Frances E. Roe (Williams); her husband Roger Davis Ripley; her children, Roger Duane Ripley and Rozelyn Schamerloh; her great grandchildren, Lillian Schamerloh and Elena Grote; and her brother-in-law Larry Friend.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Ripley (Kristie) of Decatur, Indiana and Sherry Grote (Richard) of Goshen, Indiana; her son-in-law Kim Schamerloh (Peggy) of Bluffton, Indiana; her sister Barbara; her grandchildren, Brad Schamerloh, Jenny Koerner (Matt), Megan Bearman (Tyler), Randon Ripley (Mary), Kylee Johnson (Jeremy), Kaitlynn Cramer (Mike) and Trey Grote (Melody); and her great grandchildren, Noah, Eli Schamerloh, Aubrey, Hannah Koerner, Brooke, Beau Bearman, Xavier, Liesl, Georgiana, James Ripley, Colten, Hunter, Ellie Johnson and Kason Grote.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home- Decatur (520 N 2nd St, Decatur, IN 46733). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
Preferred memorials are to Cornerstone Community Church.
