He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward E. Blum and Mildred H. Blum (Porath); his siblings, Dona Radke (Arnold), Lorna Bultemeier (Erwin), Virginia Poole (Darrell), Carolyn Schwartz (Charles), Edward and Donald Blum (Sally); his brothers-in-law, Dean Hawkins, Gerald Fogel, Lynn Shutt and Larry Bulmahn; and his stepgrandson Vincent Fravel.
He is survived by: his sisters, Theresa Hawkins of Martinsville and Emily Fogel of Columbus, Ohio; his sister-in-law Nancy Blum of Windsor, California; his children, Kimary K. Fravel (Gary) of Decatur, Indiana, Eric Blum (Tammy) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Kelly Todd (Brian) of Decatur, Indiana and Zachary Blum of Monroe, Indiana; his grandchildren, Travis Fravel, Lindi Fuelling (Tyler), Madalyn Fravel (Melih), Audrey Fravel, Ben Blum, Taylor Blum, Rachel Blum, Jacob Todd (Meg), Alexandria Livengood (Cody) and Lucas Blum; his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Ronan Fuelling and Evelyn Todd; his stepgrandchildren, Paulie Robison (Madison), Baron Robison (Emma) and Emily Smith (Justin); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Emery, Max, Roman Robison, Ariel, Ava and Amelia Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Diane Shutt, Colleen Bulmahn and Gary Hitzeman (Linda). He is also survived by 41 nieces and nephews.
