She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil B. Hampton and Freeda Conrad Hampton; her husband Richard Wayne McClaskey; and her siblings, Frederick, John, Robert Hampton, Lucille Lang and Maxine Cook.

She is survived by: her children, Bryan McClaskey (Pam) of Darlington and Brenda Dawson (Jake) of Morocco; her grandchildren, Heather Abney, Staci Clemons, Amber French, Tara Dawson and Jamie McClaskey; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Madison, Corey, Mason and Emma; and her great great grandchild Mac.
