He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Johnson (Wilson) and Lester Bradley Johnson; and his sister Patsy Chupp. He is survived by: his wife Vicky Johnson of Danville; his children, Melissa Coatney (Ryan) of Cloverdale, Jason Burks (Shalin) of Frankfort and Joel Burks (Amy) of Mooresville; his sister Carol Carter of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Nathaniel "Bullfrog" (Jasmine), Madison, Kiefer, Samuel, Jacy "Rattlesnake" Burks, Justin, Jonathan Earickson (Ashley Tabscott), Caitlyn Burks, Hannah, Savannah Bradberry, Aiden "Rascal" Hodde and Ava "Termite" Coatney; and his great grandchild Sophia Burks.
