He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne V. Balser and Mildred B. Balser (Murray); his siblings, Ralph Balser, Jenetta "Joyce" Sullivan (Albert) and Beverly Miller (Charles); and his siblings-in-law, Lee Riegel, Don Hughes, Harold and Lillian Riegel.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Riegel of Danville; his children, Deborah Annette Heffelmire of Elwood and Daniel Wayne Balser (Kumiko) of Kissimmee, FL; his grandchildren, Kameron, Kaleb, Payton Balser, Ashley Heffelmire (Jade) and Ali Heffelmire; his great grandchildren, Madison, Ethan and Lillian; his siblings-in-law, Joyce Hughes, Marlene Riegel, Anne Riegel-Dunn (Harris) and Ken Riegel (Shirley); and his nieces and nephews, Cindy Yaden (Tom), Beth Lee, Pam Loy, Michelle Kidd (Bryan), Monica Welcher, Margaret Alley (Tommy), Leeanne Riegel, Lesley Riegel, Dave Sullivan (Christy), Donnie Hughes, Ryan Shepard, Kyle Shepard, Eric Garcia and Matt Riegel.
