He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nixon and Mary Nixon (Acton); his wife Sally Ann McCoy; and his siblings, Charles, Paul, Andrew Nixon and Leota Soloman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherri Somers (Tom) of Monticello and Jill McDaniel of Oakwood; and his grandson Kaden McDaniel (Nancy Holler). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
