He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Gibbs and Gail Gibbs; his wife Lydia Gibbs; his daughter Debra; his son-in-law Mike Barton; his sister Louise Hoffman; and his brothers-in-law, John Masten, Ronald Masten and George Carlton.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Gibbs (Shirley Martin), Brenda Barton, Howard E. Gibbs (Debbie), Marcia Toliver (Billy) and Lora Clements (Neil); his sister Nancy Gibbs; and his siblings-in-law, Doris Carlton, Carol McGowan (Roy VanLandingham), Helen Masten, Ramona Masten and Joseph Masten (Ruth). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers and other gifts the family is requesting donations to the Hendricks County Parks Department, specifically designated to the WS Gibbs Memorial Park, 955 E Main Street, Danville, IN 46122.
