Though Gary may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gary touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Jo Shular Ullmann and Richard Duane Eakin; and his brother Donald William Eakin. He is survived by: his wife Pam Eakin of Danville; his son Jason Eakin (Annie) of Bloomington; his sister Arnetta VanWinkle (Mike) of Linton; and his grandchildren, Alex, Harper and Ricky Eakin.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Baker Funeral Home (387 E Broadway St, Danville, IN 46122). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
