He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter "Mike" Nierman and Evelyn Spangler Nierman. He is survived by: his wife Alice Hadley Nierman; his children, Monica Miner (John), Megan Miller (Andy) and John Huguenard (Kelly); his stepsons, David Mood (Rhenda) and Eric Mood (Tonya); his grandchildren, Mollie, Sarah Miner, Evelyn, Lila, Mason Miller, Ryan of Katy, RJ, Connor Huguenard, Tanner Mood, Haley Reiger (Drew), Rilee Abney (Doug), MacKenzie Thompson (Abe) and Duel Mood; and his siblings, Marilyn Teeter and Gary "Gus" Nierman.
