It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dale Edward Chalfant of Danville, Indiana, born in Muncie, Indiana, who passed away on March 17, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemmie D. Chalfant and Violet G. Chalfant (Fehrenback); his wife Gayle Chalfant (Ayers); and his sister Elsie McFarlin. He is survived by: his children, Melanie Jones, Danena Price (Steve), Ramona Griffith (Matthew), Carey Chalfant (Lana) and Kent Chalfant; his grandchildren, Bart Lofton (Heather), Brady Lofton (Suzan), Charissa Price, Blake Price (Kristen), Rolynn Ramirez (Brian), Rocky Eubank (Emily), Josh Chalfant, Korey Chalfant, Tate Chalfant (Tabitha) and Kris Wright; his siblings, Wilma Baum (Billy), Alice Wilson, Lance Chalfant (Jeri), Frank Chalfant and David Chalfant (Vicki); and his friend Lois Duncan. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dale's memory to the American Cancer Society or the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Greater Indiana.
