He was predeceased by: his parents, James Orbey and Mable Wathen (Carrico); his siblings, Mary Butcher, Gladys Traylor, Louise Gervasio, Patrick Wathen and Thomas Wathen; and his brothers-in-law, Donald Butcher, William Gervasio and Eugene Wilcoxen.
He is survived by: his children, James Douglas Wathen (Nancy) of Fishers, IN, Michael Allen Wathen (Rhonda) of Clayton, IN and Lorie Kaye Soltis (Kevin) of Brownsburg, IN; his stepchildren, Jeffrey Boyers (Debi) of Leesburg, VA and Pamela Ventura (James) of Amelia, OH; his siblings, Aggie Wilcoxen, John Wathen (Joanie) and Helen Traylor (Jim); and his siblings-in-law, Joseph Traylor and Mickey Wathen. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
