He was predeceased by: his brother Gene Bales Goforth (Frances). He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Crawley); and his children, Glenna (David Gibbs), Kerry (Cindy) and Douglas (Pamela). He is also survived by three grandchildren (Jennifer, Kayla and Alex) and many nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to James' home church, Dana Methodist Church.
