It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ira Joe Jones of Dana, Indiana, born in Saint Bernice, Indiana, who passed away on June 3, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Jones and Iva Boyd Jones; and his siblings, Walter, Bonnie Trezise, Barbara Nunn and Betty Sutton.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Jones of Dana, IN.; his children, Jeff Jones of Dana, IN., Shelly Smith (Brian) of Dana, IN. and Marcy Conrad (Terry) of Terre Haute, IN.; his grandchildren, Allison Boyke (Andy), Ashley Curts (Andy), Nicole McKnight (Toby), Chelsi Zoller (Jay), Aaron Conrad (Iris), Chloe Jones (Andrew Smith) and Chelsea Conrad; and his great grandchildren, Shawn McKnight, Rosalyn McKnight, Kris Stewart, Maddie Curts, Eli Boyke, Kayla Boyke, Lane Zoller, Christian Zoller, Lilly Anna Smith, Willow Smith, Oliver Conrad and Candy Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shiners Transportation Committee in memory of Ira.
