He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Max "Cigar" Smith and Mildred Young Smith; and his brothers, Max Eugene and Vernon Ray Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Martha A. Smith of Dana, Jim Smith (Toni) of Centerville and Steve Smith (Christine) of Hillsdale. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
