He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Eleanor Butler Lashley and Lee Lashley; and his brothers, Ben Martin, David Lashley and William Lashley.

He is survived by: his children, Johnny Lashley of Tempe, AZ and Garnet Markis of Tempe, AZ; his siblings, Cecelia Hughes, Julia Talbert and George Lashley; and his grandchildren, Luna Lashley, Rexford Lashley and Ronan Markis.
