He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Brattain Sr. and Hildreth Crouch Duncan (Belle); and his siblings, Lawrence Brattain, Merl Brattain Jr. and Donna Brown.
He is survived by: his daughters, April Earhart and Crystal Brattain (Jeff Catron); his sister Jamie; and his close friend Terry Nelson. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
