He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Gernand and Julia Gernand; and his brother Michael Leslie Gernand. He is survived by: his wife Janet Dixon; his brothers, Greg (Judy) and Steve Gernand (Gayle); his mother-in-law Jan Dixon; and his siblings-in-law, Julie Cassady, Jamalyn Smart and Jerry Dixon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Tabor Church (10500 S Co Rd 300 E, Muncie, IN 47302). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 5:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 5:45 PM at the Jones Cemetery (8212 S Walnut St, Daleville, IN 47334).
