She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Jones and Edna Jones (Gillock); her husband Ronald Nixon; and her siblings, Charles Jones, James Jones, Mary Ball, Evelyn Sears and Helen Harter.

She is survived by: her children, Roni Waitman of Daleville, Tracey Mulford (Dick) of Chandler, OK and Chris Nixon (Lisa) of Daleville; her grandchildren, Nathaniel Woolum, Julie Hibbs, Emily Sweet (Nicklus), Jordan Mulford (Jamie Brison), Christopher Nixon (Ashley), Mackenzie Frazier (Patrick), Danielle Pittsford (Dustin), Derreck Nixon (Alessia) and Kayleigh Lyon (Colton); and her son-in-law Mike Waitman. She is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren.
