It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earl Thomas Steele in Dale, Indiana, born in Brazil, Indiana, who passed away on December 9, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his children, Earl Michael Steele and Pamela Jane Steele; his grandson Sean Steele; and his siblings, Hurel D. Steele, Burrel J. Steele, Gorden Steele, Lester Steele and Romona Crawford.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Appleby; his children, Debbie Hurley (Bennie), Diane Rader (Jerry) and Russell Steele (Judy); his grandchildren, Debbie Miller, Tonia Steele, Cynthia Hurley-Walling, Brian Hurley, Roxanne Steele, Shelby Steele, Janette Steele, Nathan Schoettmer, Krystal Stone and Steven Pitts; and his siblings, Junior Steele, Denver Dale Steele, Paul Steele, Iona McFarland, Elvira Lovins and Naomi "Sugar" Steele.
Memorial contributions in honor of Earl may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
