He is survived by: his spouse Celesta Lucinda Stump (Baum); his children, Nathan of New Oxford, PA, LaVere (Michelle) of Culver, IN, Nelson (Dorcas) of Goshen, IN, Janella Stalter (Samuel) of Wakarusa, IN, Lorenda Stalter (Stephen) of Wakarusa, IN, Lois Brougher (Randell) of Elsie, MI, Fannie Brougher (Michael) of Bedford, PA, Sheila Sweigart (Eric) of Canon City, CO and Dorcas Politano (Samuel) of Sidney, IN; and his siblings, Clara Ann (Eli), Jean (Amos), Jolene (Joseph) and Edward Jr. (Linda). He is also survived by 64 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Madison Old Brethren Church (67791 Beech Rd, Wakarusa, IN 46573). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Yellow Creek Old Brethren Church (26354 Co Rd 38, Goshen, IN 46526).
