She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Sampson; her parents, Ralph Biggs and Henrietta Biggs; her children, James R. Rust, Jerrilyn Rust-Walters (late Wayne) and Judith Rust-MacFarland (late Bruce); and her siblings, Ralph Biggs Jr. and Janice Addison.
She is survived by: her children, Janna Getzin (Alan) of Midland, MI and John Rust (Pam) of Crown Point, IN; her stepbrother Dan Demmon (Cheryl) of Valparaiso, IN.; her husband James D. Rust; and also Rust Nursery. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in Verna's name to Unity Hospice.
