She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Cunningham and Emma Alene Eaton; her stepfather Thomas Eaton; her brothers, William Melvin, Paul Henry, Roger Dale, Russell Eugene and James Edward Cunningham; and her former husband Charles Woodrow Tharp.
She is survived by: her children, Marcia Demeter (Robert), Valerie Morgan (David) and Mark Tharp (Keri); her grandchildren, Jason, Shanna, Joseph, Sarah, Amanda, Cassie, Candace, Christina, Joey and Amber; and her great grandchildren, Brandon, Megan, Nevaeh, Nathan and Oliver.
In lieu of flowers she requested that donations be made to one of the following: Woodmar United Methodist Church, Humane Society of the Calumet Region, American Cancer Society, or Hammond Police Memorial Committee.
