It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Swider of Crown Point, Indiana, born in Danville, Virginia, who passed away on October 19, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Woodson and Elizabeth Woodson; her son Randal Swider; and her siblings, Francis, Mildred, Sue and Patricia.

She is survived by: her husband Lawrence; her daughters, Antoinette Ledbetter (John) and Laurie Victor (Dan); her grandchildren, Melissa Basile (John), Eric Scaccia (Jackie), Matthew Hankosky (Nicole), Ryan Scaccia (Alysa), Melanie Wood (Matthew) and Adam Scaccia; her great grandchildren, Ava, Luca, Emilia, Silvester, Lily and Oliver; and her siblings, Faye, Brenda and David.
