With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shannon Reading of Crown Point, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 18, 2025 at the age of 46. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Jack, Joan O'Connor, Michael, Vivan Metz, Everett and Freda Reading (Mimi).

She is survived by: her parents, Steve O'Connor and Margie O'Connor of Washington Island, WI; her husband Josh; her children, Brooke and Austin of Crown Point; her brothers, Sean O'Connor (Fran) of Frisco, TX and Patrick O'Connor (Emilie) of Cedarburg, WI.; her parents-in-law, Mike and Jan Reading of Monee, IL.; her sister-in-law Angela Creasbaum (Jeremy); her friend Grant Park; her grandmother-in-law Louis Stelter; and also Jean Stelter.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ (5323 W Margaret St, Monee, IL 60449). A burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at the St. Paul's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Shannon's name may be given to MBTI (Malnati Brain Tumor Institute), Chicago; VNA Hospice of Northwest Indiana, Valparaiso, IN; or Saint Paul's Cemetery Fund, Monee Ill.
