She was predeceased by: her husband Glyn Jewart; her parents, Robert Smith and Francis Smith; and her brother James Smith. She is survived by: her children, Laura Jewart of Crown Point, IN, Vince Jewart (Joni) of Lakeland, FL and Damon Jewart (Ginger) of Valparaiso, IN; her grandchildren, Jesse Ashcraft, Evan VanWaardenburg, Stephen Jewart, Ashley Janes, Cameron Lemos, Conner Lemos, Patrick Broderick, Lindsey Broderick and Kaleigh Stack; and her siblings, Ron Smith, Sue Jones and Diane Cusack. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
