He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Pankiewicz and Eleanor Pankiewicz; and his siblings, Frank Pankiewicz and Sandra O'Connor (Robert). He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Pankiewicz; his children, Therese Davis (Doug), Daniel Pankiewicz (Anna) and Ellen Niepokoj (Dean); and his granddaughter Isabella. He is also survived by 3 step-grandchildren; and 4 step-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Richard's name to Dunes Hospice Foundation, 4711 Evans Ave., Valparaiso, IN 46383.
