He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Evelio and Theresa Cruz-Lopez; and his uncle Anthony Jansma. He is survived by: his wife Danielle Cruz-Lopez; his children, Nova Cruz-Lopez, Cade Cruz-Lopez and Dylan Olson; his parents, Luis Cruz-Lopez (Alicia) and Michelle Chehade (George); his siblings, Jesse Cruz-Lopez (Jenna), Christiana Cruz-Lopez, Tristan Cruz-Lopez, Michael Olivarri, Alexander Guel and Cassandra Sturm (Trevor); his uncle Michael Averett; and his grandparents, Jamette Averett and Michael Averett. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Nick's name to his family for his children's future education.
