It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John T. Tokar (Crown Point, Indiana), who passed away on August 7, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Yvonne Tokar; his children, Alan Tokar (Judy), David Tokar (Andrea), Brenda Zylo and Cheryl Warga; his grandchildren, Jim Tokar, Jason Tokar, Amy Branam (Jason), Ashley Tokar (Gentry Winstead), Olivia Tokar, Elyse Tokar, Nicole Henderson (Steve), Michelle Zylo, Mathew Warga (Melissa) and Lindsey Handtke (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Roman Tokar, La'Niyia Winstead, Za'Riyia Winstead, Mary Henderson, Kathryne Henderson, Kalina Schmitt, Violet Schmitt, Dominic Warga, John Warga, Parker Warga, Kylee Handtke and Rowan Handtke; his brother Frank Tokar (Sandy); his parents, Frank Tokar and Mary Tokar; his siblings, Mildred Gurchik (John) and Steve Tokar (Ruth); and his son-in-law Kevin Zylo. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Due to COVID-19 - the family asks that individuals who have not been fully vaccinated please practice wearing a mask while in attendance at the funeral home and on cemetery grounds.
