He was predeceased by: his parents, John Krompack and Helen Krompack; his sister Lynda Baldin; his brother-in-law John Pierce; his uncle Joe; and his aunt Mary Blastick.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Krompack; his children, Brian Krompack (Kim) and Jennifer Nila (David); and his grandchildren, Isabella and Conner.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in James' name to St. Vincent DePaul at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Winfield, IN or The Share Foundation, 6617 County Rd. 300 E. LaPorte, IN 46350.
