James E. Hoover Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James E. Hoover of Crown Point, Indiana, who passed away on January 7, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Hoover and Lorene Hoover; his brother Clifford J. Hoover, Jr.; and his nephews, Clifford M. Hoover and John Troy Svitek.

He is survived by: his wife Margarete A. Hoover; his daughter Tracey Conn (Mike); his grandchildren, Amy Martel (Daniel), Michael Conn (Michele Debartolo), Jacob Conn and Lillian Conn; and his sisters, Faye Joann Svitek (John) and Bobbie Jean Czajkowski. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Jim's name to the Wounded Warriors Project.
