It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Dimitri (Crown Point, Indiana), born in Gary, Indiana, who passed away on April 7, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia; his parents, Angelo Dimitri and Antigoni Dimitri; and his siblings, Bessie Valcu, Kay Tsilis, Helen Shomos, George Mussie, Harry Mussie and Pete Mussie.
He is survived by: his children, Diane of Indian Land, SC, Mark (Suzanne) of Ashburn, VA and James R. of Lake Wylie, SC; and his grandsons, Brandon, David and Daniel Dimitri.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. A masonic service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre (606 E 113th Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral (8000 Madison St, Merrillville, IN 46410).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in James' name to Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral and/or Shriners Hospital for Children.
