He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelo Caravana and Maryann Caravana; and his sister Maryann Meyer. He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Svihra (Richard) and Kenneth Caravana (late Debra); and his nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Courtney, Gail, Lori, Kimberly, Jennifer, Kristin, Karl and Kevin.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Jerry A. Caravana Athletic Director Endowment Fund at the Crown Point Community Foundation.
