She was predeceased by: her husband Donald M. Deruntz, Sr.; her parents, Andrew Okruta and Catherine Okruta; and her sisters, Sophia, Charlotte, Monica, Theresa and Mary.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Deruntz, Jr. (Annette), Richard Deruntz, Lori Dorusha (Rick), Cynthia Grasser (Phil), Andrea Radinsky (Dan) and Mary Kay Long (Tom); her grandchildren, Matthew Deruntz (Theresa), Katherine Deruntz-Bill (Eric), Jeremy Dorusha, Anna Dorusha, Drew Grasser, Dylan Radinsky, Brad Grasser and Jake Long; her great grandchildren, Christian, Nate, Alex, Ada and Theo; and her sister Josephine Szul. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Jean's name to St. Mary Catholic Church in Crown Point, IN.
