He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Smith (Snow) and Allan Smith; his wife Gloria Eckstein; his brother Charles Smith; and his daughter-in-law Mary Kay Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Smith Jr. (Dorothea), David Smith (Eileen), Thomas Smith, Ann Marie (Smith) and Olin (Randy). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
