He is survived by: his children, Carl Porter (Candice) of Hammond and Joey Porter (Chrissy) of Crown Point; his grandchildren, Yasmine, Cavin, Cameron, Caleb, Carly and Caden Porter; his brother David Porter (Sue); his niece Michelle Vickers; his nephews, Chris Vickers and Eddie Rudd; and his sisters, Diane Moehring and Inell Horne.
