She was predeceased by: her husband Myron "Jack" Black; and her parents, Ray Wiker and Grace Wiker. She is survived by: her children, Bradley "Brad" Black (Lisa) and Jill Frechette; her grandchildren, Nicholas "Nick" Black (Lauren), Madeline "Maddie" Black and Matthew "Matt" Frechette; and her great grandchild Parker Black.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre (606 E 113th Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. Covid caused Barb's activities to come to an abrupt halt and also brought the first signs of Alzheimer's.
