He is survived by: his children, Crystal Childress (Danny) and Charles Allen Shepherd (Miranda); his siblings, Paul Shepherd (Wasana), Ruby Vires, Loretta Colyer (Lloyd), Ella Lawson (Bob) and Maggie Stagnolia (Danny); his grandchildren, Peyton, Brady, Seth Shepherd, Quentin and Benjamin Baker; and his great grandchild Corbin Baker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
