He was predeceased by: his parents, Estill Deaton and Mary Deaton (Brewer); his son Ricky Allen Deaton; and his siblings, Adam Deaton, Eli Deaton, Jerry Deaton, Leonard Deaton, Hazel Prewitt and Anna Mae Deaton.
He is survived by: his wife Jessie Fay Deaton; his children, Rosa Snodderly (DeJon) of North Vernon, IN, Barbara Prine (Terry) of Crothersville, IN and Kenneth Joe Deaton of North Vernon, IN.; his grandchildren, Billy Harvy of Columbus, IN, Kristy Wienhorst of North Vernon, IN and Becky Graham of Crothersville, IN; and his brother Chester Deaton of Jennings County, IN.. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
