He was predeceased by: his parents, Asher Burns and Doris Burns Smock (Nolan); and his daughter Tina Foster. He is survived by: his wife Janice Burns (Aldridge); his children, Asher Burns (Valerie) of Seymour, IN, Nikkie Burns, Leeann Burns, Justin Ray Burns of Austin, IN, Tommy Burns of Austin, IN, Jonathan Tyler Burns (Brandy) of Louisville, KY and Sally Sizemore of Austin, IN; his siblings, Bill Burns (Joyce) of Bedford, IN, Ella Merry Jr. (Bobby) of Scottsburg, IN and Jo Barrett (Gene) of Conyers, GA; and his stepfather George Smock of New Albany, IN.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
