He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Wood and Martha Napier Wood; his granddaughter Linda Jane Berry; his son-in-law William Berry; and his siblings, James Wood, Henry Wood, Daisy Tyra, Adah Jane Tyra, Elizabeth Wood, Nanie Mae Whisman, Virginia Nickell and Leona Whisman.
He is survived by: his spouse Myrle Hankins; his sons, Ralph Wood (Faith Ann) of Versailles and Robert Wood (Dotty) of Versailles; and his sister Irene Scudder of Lawrenceburg. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
