She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Reynolds and Olive Reynolds (Self); her husband William "Bill" Newell; her grandson Nicholas Miller; and her siblings, Faye Cope, Vera Reynolds, Bonnie Miller, Otto Reynolds, Ottis Reynolds and John Reynolds.

She is survived by: her children, Eddie Newell (Nancy), Judy Taylor (Lee), Sherry Newell and Peggy Miller (Nathan); and her siblings, Daryl "Joe" Reynolds of Lafayette and Carol Kauffman of Portland, OR. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren.
