She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Doyle White and Esther Kathleen White Foley; her husband Donald; and her siblings, Samuel White, James Foley, Stanley White and Shirley Crocket.

She is survived by: her children, Donald Gene Dawson Jr., David James Dawson (Tonya), Harry Daniel Dawson, Mary Elizabeth Dawson (Scott Laughlin) and Heidi Nicole Dawson; and her siblings, William Foley and Terri Mays (Jim Bob). She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
