Jim Consolato wrote a sympathy message

“Shock, now tears coming to my eyes, I have lost one of the best friends of my entire life. Ron and I first meet at George Air Force base in 1968. We were best buddies serving until 1972. We lost contact after that and then reunited in person in 2006 . After that, we spoke often on the telephone every month for the next 14 years. They say in life we need to count our blessings and Ron's friendship was a blessing I will never forget. Condolences to the family. RIP Ron.”
