He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alexander and Ruth Lois Howden (Forrest); his son John E. Howden; and his grandson Richie Howden. He is survived by: his spouse Doralas Mary Maxine Suitors; his daughters, Debra Vaught (Thomas) of Crawfordsville and LaDawn Priebe (Kevin) of Crawfordsville; his daughter-in-law Margaret Howden (Jim McBee) of Crawfordsville; his grandchildren, Mary Fossnock (Josh), Grace Vaught, Samuel Vaught, Riley Howden (Samantha), Abigail Howden, Rebecca French (Easton) and Jessica Priebe; his stepgrandchildren, Ryan VanScoyoc (Brooke), Adam Priebe (Hillary) and Ronnah Largent (Zac); his great grandchildren, Joshua Fossnock, Maura Howden and Louise Howden; his brother Bruce Howden (David Prouty) of Sheffield, MA; and his stepmother Virginia Howden of Sheffield, MA..
